Film Overview
Flxtite® AP-XH is a heavy-duty shrink film made of a biaxially oriented, cross-linked polyolefin material. It is designed to compete with the cost of corrugated cartons, reducing the volume and weight of packaged goods and decreasing warehousing and trucking costs. Its excellent optical, puncture resistance and elongation properties make it ideal for shrink-wrapping heavy-duty items like machine parts, furniture, and tools. With superior tensile strength, Flxtite® AP-XH is an excellent alternative to both Cryovac CorTuff® and Clysar Shrinkbox® films.
Flxtite® AP-XH is compatible with all packaging equipment
A manufacturer of auto parts was packaging brakes in corrugated boxes,
filled with styrene foam peanuts. They wanted to replace the peanuts for 3 reasons:
They, therefore, purchased a shrink packaging system and replaced the old method of packaging. Now, they place the brakes on a corrugated paperboard and shrink wrap them with 150 gauge Flxtite® AP-XH heavy duty, cross-linked, center-folded film.
Switching to shrink film cut down tremendously on wasted warehousing space, eliminated the messy peanuts littering the floor, automated and optimized their packaging speed, and helped them achieve their sustainability goals, all without compromising on protection for the auto parts.
