Flxtite® AP-1 shrink film is a non-irradiated, multi-layer polyolefin film that delivers high clarity, high gloss, and strong seal strength. It seals at lower temperatures and has quicker dwell times, making it more cost-effective and manufacturing-efficient than crosslinked films. AP-1 has outstanding tear strength, making it ideal for packaging products that require reliable and secure sealing. Its non-crosslinked (non-irradiated) formulation is also fully recyclable, making it a sustainable packaging option for eco-conscious brands.

Equipment Compatibility

Flxtite® AP-1 non-irradiated film can only run on machines equipped with hot wire or “V” knife sealing systems.

As long as the machinery is equipped with a hot wire or “V” knife sealing system.

Incompatible with mushroom blade sealing systems.

Optimal Shrink Sealing Conditions

The Flxtite® AP-1 grade POF film works on all Automatic Sealer equipment with good electrostatic sealing properties under the following conditions:

  • Seal Temperatures – 320° to 360° F
  • Dwell Time – 0.5 to 1.2 seconds
  • Tunnel Temperature – 320° to 400° F
